The Cleaners from Venus - Marble Run

Now the year gets old
And the days slip by
August hangs on late July
Like an older wife
When she's feeling good
So I go walking in the hawthorn wood

And it seems no time
Or not to me
That I had a dog
And girl of three
And we all moved in
In the winter sun
With a Barbie bowl and a Marble Run

So the spring came in
And the sun got strong
And I sat there with music on
On a Sunday morning because now I could
Then I went walking in the chestnut wood

And it seems no time
Or not too long
When I was singing a different song
Yet before I knew it
The girl was six and the dog had trouble chasing sticks

Well the girl grew up
And the dog moved on
To a game much better than the one we're on
And I sit here now in September sun
Gazing at the Marble Run
