Guilt Fiction - Apathy

Get up early, so early that it's late
I drive to where I'm going, I still have hours to wait
I feel like I'm fading more with every step I take
But I stick it through, cause what I'm working too is just too good to waste
Is it apathy?
Is something missing or is it fantasy?
We're my emotions drained out to sea?
Or silently taken at night?
When I get home, not a single memory stays
Cause my hard drive is full and no file has been replaced

I look back to high school, some would call the good old days
But I don't think it's true, it was just bad in different ways
Is it apathy?
Is something missing or is it fantasy?
We're my emotions drained out to sea?
Or silently taken at night?
What do I think when the mirror shows my face?
What a difference 5 years can make
Is it me if so much had changed?
