Tristan Kovacs - Sunken City

Went out running and he found a telescope stuck in the sand
Points it to the ocean, lifts it up and looks straight through the lens
There's a glimmer deep within her, there's a city out from land
Can't believe it, must have dreamed it, then he goes out for a swim
Waves
Pull
Swept him deep down to the depths below
Gates
Closed
Lined with cryptic runes of ancient gold
Limbs
Reach out
Fill the runes with blood from out his mouth
Thoughts
Shout
Of the city shroud in eldritch doubt
The voice rejoiced he had no choice, he had to enter through the gate
Near the entrance was a necklace that glows hideous and faint
He can't describe the cursed guise, the gravitation of its weight
As he wore it, felt a torrent and the thoughts revealed his fate
Waves
Pull
Swept him deep down to the depths below
Gates
Closed
Lined with cryptic runes of ancient gold
Limbs
Reach out
Fill the runes with blood from out his mouth
Thoughts
Shout
Of the city shroud in eldritch doubt
I becometh god, Becometh
Felt my mind feel gone, feel numbness
Felt my self move on, Move on with
All the other thoughts, Left thoughtless
Don't know where I've gone, forgotten
Don't know where I'm from, where I started
Before the mist came in, before the myth began
Before the monolith became the man I am
Woke up sinking, started thinking back to where it would begin
All the things he'd seen had yet to be, he knew not where it ends
Through the gate he breaks, the halls take shape, grow non-euclidean
At the center stood a mentor, priest, an antiquarian
Waves
Pull
Swept him deep down to the depths below
Gates
Closed
Lined with cryptic runes of ancient gold
Limbs
Reach out
Fill the runes with blood from out his mouth
Thoughts
Shout
Of the city shroud in eldritch doubt
