There was one
I thought would never be
A friend or a brother to me
Loggerheads
We almost had a fight
He got more gruff
And I got more polite
Rubbing shoulders
Cooking every day

Walked in
To the waterfall

I slipped

I panic quite a lot
When I'm not sure if someone's angry or not
He said he was
But that it was not with me
Something that I always find it hard to believe
Then I gave up
Trying to make friends
Didn't venture in so he didn't defend
This felt right
For me and true to him
Space opened up; love started to swim
We both
Walked in
To the waterfall
Ice cold
I slipped
And began to fall
But he
Reached out
And he steadied me
We laughed
Steadfast
And boundlessly
