A 9 year old boy had disappeared
His mother wasn't ready to go through life without a son

And a bunch of lads stood laughing
At a man who'd been run over
Laughing instead of helping
And the music and films are about shooting, violence, abuse of women
How's that going to make a better world?

And there's a war in Africa
Who knows how many have died
Women raped, children killed
For the materials that make our phones
But it's far away and people have a different coloured skin

58 people killed in a shopping centre bomb
Friends and family laying flowers
For 58 people who won't come home
They said the killer was crazy
But it's a symptom of our city, our society

I believe that there are no races
No countries, no power, no governments, no rules
I believe in the individual beauty of the sexes
And that we're all equal in this world

I believe that the best things in life cost nothing
And the most valuable things in existence are just me and you

I believe in the beauty of nature
Taking care of the world that we're, that we're living in
I believe in being good to each other
