Maskim - The Boy & the Roamer

Underneath an appletree, a young boy dreams of where to be
And all the things around him, tells him to wonder
From the northern river to the whispering tree
The wind is blowing through the leaves, sing what's seems to be, his melody

Wandering through the fields with his guitar as only shield
The young boy stumble on a roamer
With long light gray hair and a small bundle, big blue eyes like a waterfall
And a smile that could confort anyone

"What are doing over here?" gently said the buccaneer
I'm trying to figure out my life, with all my sorrow trying to rise

On a wheeping willow they both sat down, leaving all luggage to the ground
Throwing rocks to the bottom, of the river
"Sir I am scared to leave my home, to be caught up in the storm
Leave those that have been kind, behind"
Boy I have loved and I waged war, but I've never traveled too far
The only border there is are on our mind

But I don't want to be a kid anymore, I want to find things worth fighting for
I'm sick of being scared I want to be tough like you and see through

Dont try to grow up so fast you know that childhood never last
Hang on to each day, I know you'll find a way
I'm also scared sometimes, just give it time
Don't let your fears grow so fast, you can leave it all to the past
Well I'm just an old kid, with wrinkles on my face
Just pick up the roses and see how they taste
