Best Foot Back - The Paradox

It’s hard to overstate I’m a work in progress
Human nature tries to tear
My virtuous parts away from the rest
I’m in need of constant repair
It doesn’t take much see my flaws
More obvious every time I fall
And I swear I can fix it on my own
Jumping way out way out of the window
Believing though I’m doubting
Faith is either sure or just not knowing
Still You call out me into the unknown
Trusting when I’m all but lost
Following it comes with a cost
Still You call out Still You call out my soul
The warning bells go off in my head
Yeah my conscience puts them there
Half the time I try to pay attention
Other days I just don’t care
It doesn’t take much see my flaws
More obvious every time I fall
And I swear I can fix it on my own
Jumping way out way out of the window
Believing though I’m doubting
Faith is either sure or just not knowing
Still You call out me into the unknown
Trusting when I’m all but lost
Following it comes with a cost
Still You call out Still You call out
My failings are so colossal
I even deny my own self denial
Your love it’s paradoxical
You say I can’t fix it on my own
Jumping way out way out of the window
Believing though I’m doubting
Faith is either sure or just not knowing
Still You call out me into the unknown
Trusting when I’m all but lost
Following it comes with a cost
Still You call out
Still You call out
Still You call out me into the unknown
Trusting when I’m all but lost
Following it comes with a cost
Still You call out
Still You call out
