This Day in History - The Call

It seems it's been a while
Since it's been in style
The way that you can say what you really mean
For me it's been a defect
The words I try to inflect
Never hit like a laser beam

I don't know why I keep waiting on the
Waiting on the call
I don't know why I keep waiting on the
Waiting on the call

Festival money's been running in the family
Ever since the reunion tour
It's another reject
The best kept secret
Everyone you know's been keeping score

I don't know why I keep waiting on the
Waiting on the call
I don't know why I keep waiting on the
Waiting on the call

And if we never get to see the way the name looks lit up out on the marquee
There's always comfort in the fact that we went out and made the most of what we had
But no one owes us anything so don't get bitter about entering the ring
At least this time we took the swing that we've been waiting for since 2013
