Too Far Gone - Singularity

Since time began humans have thrived and reorganized their lives
Sans regimes, kings and queens, and everything in between
What a surprise when they realized their existence had been compromised
And they live in a machine
They're binary coded beings
I see the skies reflect in your eyes and they're changing all the time
Often picturesque
But usually sublime
Run away with me for the day
Make our last memory
Our history has every arrangement and variation of
Community and melody and moonlit celebration
Today we'd call it anarchy but there was rhyme and reason
No one conceived our autonomy would be tantamount to treason
I see the skies reflect in your eyes and they're changing all the time
Often picturesque
But usually sublime
Run away with me for the day
Make our last memory
The world is as big as your heart
The world is as big as your heart
There is no free will on this evolutionary path
Our biology is just a program written on a protein with organic machine code
Trillions of software cells following the process script
Computational capacity - our technology - is not outside of us
It's part of our humanity
It's bearing down on us like a freight train
And it will set us free
Together in singularity
