Jeremy Pomeroy - Babylon
If you're going up the hill in Babylon take a Polaroid for me
Cause I dwell on the towers of Babylon: it's my very favorite city
You can feast on the meats of Babylon where they carry out all night
Half the world there hails from out of town but the accent's right
I have heard shade cast upon it now: 'it's all faulty and false currency
But I felt no stranger to Babylon and it felt like home to me
Should you pose for a master in Babylon amidst the heat of the nitty gritty
Without a single stitch of silkscreen on: he's sure to paint you pretty
And it's fine thing to see the smoke at dawn when the watched fires gleam
In my thoughts if I don't find Babylon Babylon is sure to find me
If you're passing around Babylon take some Polaroids for me (and put a candle out)
Cause I been shut up in the towers of Avalon and it don't much suit me
