Core187 - Sister's Interlude

When I was told that I was going to have a little brother when I was younger
I had mixed emotions
I thought, ugh, another kid
Oh no, now mom has to split her time

But I was so happy when you arrived
You and I bumped heads growing up
We had battles just like any other siblings do
But I wouldn't change any of those things because we became tighter and closer over the years

I worried about you when you were a teenager
Your anger, even as an adult too
In your earlier adult years, your anger was kind of scary
And I was worried that you would bump into the wrong person

I just wouldn't understand and be ready to swing on you
I mean, you would swing back, of course
But I didn't want you to get hurt
And I'm so happy with the growth

You've changed a lot over the years
Still a work in progress, but still working towards it
I'm so proud of you, and I love you unconditionally
