Industrial Fairy Tales - Young Man

Young Man from a golden land

He like to sit in his room alone in the gloom
And stare out the window at the moon

He didn't like to go outside
He didn't like the way the light, lighted up the trees and sky

He didn't like people
He didn't like to go places and talk to strangers

He read books, he was a dreamer
All alone in a world all his own
Just him and his mythical creatures

And so no one understood that young man
No one really understood why he let life slip through his fingers like sand

But then one day Hope came
Hope came and that was her name
And no one had ever seen that man so happy

And his love for her grew
He began to take pleasure in everything
Like it was new

But little did anyone know
Hope's love for him was just a game and a show
Just a game and a show
Just a game and a show

And finally he got up the courage
And finally he asked for her hand
And she laughed at him scoffed at him
And left him for another man

And that young man blamed himself
And that young man blame himself
And killed himself
And left a note:
The note said: "I can't go on."
The note said: "I can't live without her. I'm so alone. The dream is gone"

That young woman had had a plan
To use the affections of young man
To get the other man

And that night, the news came
The young man had killed himself
And the young woman was the one to blame

And the young woman could not bear it
She could not bear the pain and the shame of the young man's death

She went to the bathroom, to the shelf
She got a bottle of pills and killed herself

I'm a liar no one died in this story
Just the same don't fuck with peoples hearts

Sometimes in life you get a little dramatic
Don't become a bitter old man from a golden land
