Badger Scratch - Co-Op City

Short drive
Through Co-Op City took a long time
We got back around 11:45

This place's paint fumes
And the blue light blues
They sent me back home
Like they're supposed to do

And in a fever dream
Shot in black and white
You were a character but you didn't speak one line

Buildings that stood for millions of years
Must one day decide they will fall
But it's hard to hear the sound of bulldozers
Over the pain in my heart

This way of living, everything's wasted
Nothing to no one belongs
And in this world where everything's sacred
Nothing means nothing at all

Sunlight
In C214 at 2:25
So strong
Turned all the colors into white

Yesterday
It was like 20 and the sky was grey
But now
It's alright

But you think this whole life
Is a waste of time
Even the fireworks
Couldn't change your mind

Even the fireflies
Couldn't change your mind
Even your family were wrong but at least they tried

Buildings that stood for millions of years
Must one day decide they will fall
But it's hard to hear the sound of bulldozers
Over the pain in my heart
