Son Of Age - God Spoke (I Became)

God spoke, and I became, into a formal existence
But I couldn't see the blessings, in the course of my indifference
But a coalition of spiritual premonitions, a slow burn
What I was lacking was Hesed-wisdom
But I fold with the challenges, the lessons from each section
To climb the peak of Athens, when I saw the field in ashes
My works were like dirty rags that was thrown into the dustbin
My voice was raspy like I swallowed a vac of seething acid
This is what I saw, was a breathing bag of flaws
Living with the law was building up my walls
I left that day, drained as I didn't want to be involved
Server the ties between the world and I would just dissolve, ah
Out of the scene, out of the stream of my sub-consciousness
Suffocating in my pride, running my oesophagus
Getting revived without the condemning obelisk
Follow me into the light, cuz' nothing can be stopping us

God wrote my life of hope, a choice tailored for a new episode
I was hiding behind the mezzanine when I could be grabbing goals
Instead, I was a pessimist, my self-esteem the catalyst
Even if, the gift was heaven-sent, just saw the negative
If only the sedatives wore off quicker than the mind can drift
I would have had a better life that's half as great as I would live
Thank God, I took the medicine, that set the series of precedence
Set me apart from the herd, engaging the evidence, ah
Just a mouse now, trying to find a home
Searching as a ronin, following the moon
Got to get a move on, to where the season blooms
My shoes are bare and worn, but this home gave me some room now
I heard of the man interpreting fragments of dreams
Broke into a sequence of the mind, flipping magazines
Reading from the chapel, reciting the tethered scenes
Reviving the visions while banishing the inner demons
Life is an anticipation for what it is
For what it never seems
As we cross through different sections
Some lost by direction
Some grow from evasive action
Some fall to the ground, some in love
In essence, but what makes us move mountains
But the distance is all I can see, shrouded by fog
So, I count my blessings and continue the walk
