Sometimes I'm amazed how lucky I am
I don't think I'm dreaming but if I am

There's times I catch myself
Or slip into the cracks
Always you're there to save me from my mind
I don't think anyone could put up with me like you do

I don't know how you do it but god I love you
Sometimes I'm scared of silence
I'll fill the void with words
So I don't give myself a heart attack
I'll let my mind run miles over nothing at all
And as you stare through the window on the drive home
I wonder what's in that mind of yours
The mystery of you is something I desire

I've been giving it everything I got
To better how I deal with beating myself up
Making mountains from mole hills over stupid things
I know you know how hard I've been trying to lessen the weight
That I placed on my shoulders after all these years
Tearing down walls I never knew I had to let you in

I've always been scared that no one could handle me
