Drew William - California Coastline

Just drive, run, don't look back
Blue Pacific skyline second to none
Reminiscent days of the 101
Where the orchard trees
Stretch toward the sea
I'm just thinking about how the coast
Reminds us of life, who we used to be
Because like the California Coastline
We're fire and rain at the same time
I found a bottle on the beach
With a message on the inside
Is a tale about a lost love
From a boy who held these memories
Of the whitest wine, reddest dress
His smile on her lips
Cigar shops and comic strips
Oh, and Lucky Llama, Matcha green
Candy shops, Madonna themes
These are a few of my favorite things
Just drive, run, don't look back
Just drive, run, don't look back
You gotta hold your course it's the choice you made
But it's a long, lonely coast on the Golden State
So when you're driving home, when the sun hangs low
With your windows down and the day's all done
Do you think of me in your darkest mind
I can still see the fear up in your eyes
What you're holding back, couldn't give to me
Now we're drifting apart, while we'll always dream
Of the whitest wine, reddest dress
His smile on her lips
Cigar shops and comic strips
Oh, and Lucky Llama, Matcha green
Candy shops, Madonna themes
These are a few of my favorite things
Because on that California coastline
The fire's yours and the rain's mine
I'll cherish what we used to be
And as the waves go back and forth now
Pushing old and bringing new love
There is so much left for you and me
On that California coastline
On that California coastline
