The Hollering Pines - Here's to Hoping

It's gonna feel so good to feel good again
I don't know if
I don't know when
The clouds will bust open
But here's to hoping
The trees were singing
I wasn't there
The sky turned golden
I wasn't there
Wildflowers were growing all over the place
I was clawing my way back from outer space
The day was breaking
I wasn't there
The leaves were shaking
I wasn't there
Wheat fields grew up and started to roll
I was digging my self out of a deep dark hole
The moon was silver
I wasn't there
The snow was glitter
I wasn't there
The night felt dark, cold and black
I was feeling like I would never make it back
My friends were calling I didn't answer
I turned off the phone
Went back to sleep
I went outside it was a beautiful day
It smelled like rain and the grass was wet
I don't know how long this will last
But I'm happy to take whatever I can get
Here's to hoping
Here's to hoping
